Ryan - Mountain Dancer || Rocky Mountain National Park, Portrait Photographer
"To be an artist means never to avert one's eyes." - Akira Kurosawa
Photographing and collaborating with other artists is something that I'm excited to have more time for in 2016. Ryan is a professional dancer who is an absolute joy to have as a friend. I have yet to meet someone as passionate, emotionally intelligent, and true to himself as Ryan is. You can find him on Instagram posting incredible dance vignettes, usually to the soundtrack of Lana Del Rey, or traveling the world studying with masters of the craft, being welcomed into every venture he tries with warm open arms.
We hiked up to the glacial lakes of Rocky Mountain National Park together- through the snow and ice, and captured the last bits of light bouncing off the lakes, Ryan's sparkly sequin dresses, and the gold wolf chain around his neck. I have never been more in love with nature and art and life at the same time.
These portrait session fill my heart, restore my soul, and remind me how thankful I am to have people like Ryan in my life.
