Aly + Jordan || Fort Collins, Colorado
When you know two precious babes who are totally willing to re-rock their wedding garb and get outside for a cute photo session on a rainy day in Fort Collins, you JUST do it. I first met Aly when she was teaching yoga with my sister at Élan Yoga (RIP Élan *sniffle sniffle*) and we've worked together on a few creative projects since, like the gorgeous styling she did for us here. Aly and her hubby Jordan are two of the most hilarious, sweet, laid-back creatives we know, and they were totally game for putting on their wedding dress and wedding suit and photographing an impromptu couples session with me.
We met up at their adorable house (named Rancho Avocado- I mean, come on), got a beautiful, bright, spring wedding bouquet from Bliss Wedding Florist, braved the gloomy Fort Collins weather, and galavanted around to the prettiest spots we could think of in northern Colorado. We started driving during a fairly legit rain storm, but by the time we go to the natural area, it was actually a perfect day for a photo session! It's one of the reasons I encourage my couples to just push through, even if the forecast says it might be bad weather. As long as it's not 400 mile an hour winds, Colorado usually offers up the most perfect weather for photo sessions.
After photographing the session, when we got back to Rancho Avocado, Jordan took off his wedding shoes, revealing some funky, brightly colored socks, and Aly changed into her house-slippers, which were hilarious animal paws, and they both just rocked the laid-back house vibe, posing with each other and their totally adorable cats. They are a dream couple to photograph, and I'm actually going to need to schedule another session with them soon, as they've added a PUPPY TO THEIR FAMILY since this session!!!!!!! GIVE ME ALL THE PUPPIES!!!!!! (<-- yes, I meant to put that many exclamation points)
If you know anyone who is getting married, or who is recently engaged, or if you want to schedule a photo session for yourself, get in touch!! Also, I'm about to put out our second newsletter of the year, so if you haven't signed up for those bits of amazingness, you can do so right here:
Thanks for following along and making what we do worth it! We appreciate and love you!
