Fortified Collaborations Mishawaka 100 Year Harvest Dinner || Grant Farms CSA, Colorado

Fortified Collaborations is in the middle of their best farm dinner season ever! Every dinner so far has been top class and the Mishawaka 100 Year Harvest Dinner was no exception. Celebrating 100 years of the iconic Mishawaka, this installment went down on the beautiful grounds of Grant Farms CSA. The cuisine was prepared by the amazing chefs from The Kitchen Bistro paired with beer from Horse and Dragon Brewing Company and spirits from Old Town Distilling Company. All of the proceeds from the evening went to The Kitchen Community to build a learning garden at Lesher Middle School here in Fort Collins.

If you have checked out our earlier posts about the Fortified dinners you know that I go on and on about how awesome these dinners are, but maybe it is more than that. The dinners embody all that is great about our community. The food, the chefs, the farms, the libations, the bands, the camp fires, the people, the conversation, sitting down at community tables to eat dinner together....It all adds up to a really bitchin' time. If you want to have a beer with the people who grew or prepared your food you can walk right over and start a conversation. They will tell you all about their passions, what they are doing, and how they are doing it. I always meet the most interesting people and hear the most fascinating stories at these events. Possibly best of all, the dinners are always different. The local pairings are a one-time thing made with fresh seasonal ingredients.
